- Step 1. Measure Your Handle:
Measure the PZ (distance from spindle to keyhole), screw centres, and the overall backplate size to match your replacement handle. - Step 2. Remove the Old Handle:
Unscrew the backplate and take off both handles, along with the spindle bar. - Step 3. Fit the New Handle:
- Insert the spindle bar into the lock, then align both backplates and check that the handle moves smoothly.
- Step 4. Secure and Test:
- Tighten all screws securely, then test the handle’s operation several times to ensure proper function.
- Step 5. Check the Mechanism:
Manually turn the spindle inside the lock to ensure the latch and lock operate correctly.
